Yesterday, mom and I went to Macy's Dept. store to do some shopping. When we got home, I was so exhausted. So I grabbed my beloved Kong and thought, "I'll just take a short little nap". Pretty soon a sound of a buzz saw woke me up. Mom and dad were laughing, and mom asked "did you enjoy your little nap". Now mom's telling everyone that I need to go in for a sleep study and get fitted for something called a C-Pap machine. She thinks I snore!! I do NOT!! She says I snore loud enough to hear me across the room. I say it was those buzz saws that the workmen on the house across the street were using that she was hearing, (yea, that's my story and I'm sticking to it). Wonder if any of my litter mates snore??
Well - hope you can find a cool shade to curl up in and take lots of summer time naps. Until next post, stay nice and cool.

Spa time - again
Sorry, I haven't written lately, but I am currently in isolation at "The Spa". Yes, that's right - I am once again "in heat". I know it's only been 5 months and 2 days since the last time. Mom said that I must really want to be a little mama. Anyways I have been here since March 26th and won't go home until April 17th.
Mom and Dad came to see me Tuesday. They brushed my teeth and coat, practiced some commands, and played ball with me and gave me lots of hugs. Mom said my fur is so thick and full. She thinks I look like a bear. I was so excited to see them. I just could sit still, I keep wiggling and jumping around. Mom said everyone at home missed me so much - even the cat!! I miss everyone so much, I can wait to get back home. Only 2 more weeks to go.
Until then, keep your tails waggin'

Puppy Class Photos
Last week, mom's knee was giving her problems - so dad did puppy class with me. Here are a couple photos showing how things went with him taking over at the end of the leash:
As you can see, I give him my full attention - at first. He seems to be doing a pretty good job of listening to the instructor, (or is he looking at the young girl with the cute little dog).
Now my attention is starting to wonder. It gets a little boring just waiting for dad to decide if we're going to do anything besides just sit here all evening, (yawn). I think dad's still watching the other dog's owner and mom just think's he's listening to the instructor, (wink).
OK - now we're moving about a little. Mmm, what's that going on over there behind dad's back. Dad's still doing a good job of watching the other dog owner. Wait until mom catches dad's eye and gives him her "evil eye".
OK, now I'm ready to do instructions and all the other dogs are laying down. We just can't see to get it all together at the same time, guys. Dad's still watching the instructor, (I think). One things for sure, when mom's at the end of the leash - I seem to do a lot more moving.

Mom said she was sad, happy, worried, and excited all at the same time. I just can't wait to see all the other puppies and have a giant play date!!
Well gotta get back to work, mom says I've still got a lot more practice before turn in. Wish me luck.

Guess who turned 1 year old in January??
Yea, that's right on January 9th, I turned 1 year old. Mom said I am no longer a puppy - I am now a DOG !! And I have to start acting like a big girl. But she said I can still cuddle and snuggle with her when I feel like it, (smile - she's such a softy when she looks at me). Only 8 more months till I go off to CCI college. I can wait to meet up with some of my litter mates. I have missed them.
Till next post - keep those tails help high.

Some December Family Photos
Thanks to some resourceful puppy raisers, my mom was able to get these great photo of my brothers and sisters that were taken during December. So, I thought I'd share our family photos with everyone!!
This is Kanue. His puppy raiser said he's already 70 pounds. I laughed when I saw how much he looks like me. He's a big boy.
This is Kira. She is such a wise looking one!! Wonder what's got her attention?
This is Koda. Koda is being raised by a high school student as part of a "Service Dog Club" project. One of the puppy raisers found the photo and shared it with us. Mom thinks were could be twins.
This is Kolby. He's also weighing in at 70 pounds. Sometimes he acts goofy and he gets called "Mister". But he is so loved by everyone, and he's so smart. Get a good look at those long legs!! Look at how he sets on the step.
And of course there's me, Karlyn. I weigh in at 57 pounds. My sister Kashi's photo is missing because she was away at the kennels. She finally became a "woman". She only weighs in at 53 pounds, (she's always been the smallest of our group.
We're hoping that this month when we turn 1 year old, we can get a photo collage, similar to the one we did at 6 months old. If we are successful, then I'll post that for everyone to see. It give a very good idea of how we all look side by side.
Well, here's wishing you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR, and hope your puppy classes are going well - we're on the down hill side of training. Only 8 more months until turn in!!
Remember the 4 most important rules my mom keeps telling me:
1.) we were born for a very important job, (we're CCI puppies)
2.) always remember our commands, they'll come in handy no matter what our job might be
3.) don't lick, people don't always like dogs with a "licker license"
4.) always remember, no matter what - our moms will always be our moms

December Photos
So you want to know what my mom has been putting me through this month.... Have a look:
This scarf says "I was NAUGHTY, and it was SO worth it". Santa knows I'm not THAT naughty...
Dad thinks this should have been our Christmas card photo
Mom liked this one, good thing it wasn't a real fireplace or my backside would have been real toasty.
Oh the HUMILIATION this woman puts me through...And she does it in public for all to see!!
I did manage to convince mom to hop up on the bench with me for a quick photo. Maybe I should have put the antlers on her.
Hope your staying warm this month. Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS.
